UniSA Education Futures
To develop students’ proficiency in spoken and written Italian, building on their prior language learning, and strengthening their cultural literacy through reflection on aspects of contemporary Italian culture and society.
Students will build on the introductory level vocabulary and language structures related to the range of texts, themes and topics as well as grammatical concepts and sociolinguistic knowledge with a focus on language in use. Students will engage with a range of text types appropriate to students’ language proficiency level. They will also be introduced to Italian film as a point of departure for reflecting on aspects of contemporary Italian culture and society.
