To introduce students to basic spoken and written communication in French and reflect on intercultural themes.
Students will be introduced to French pronunciation, basic vocabulary and use of French in everyday situations. Students will also explore grammatical concepts and structures related to uses in French, sociolinguistic knowledge integral to the range of situations and tasks covered in the language classes, examples of Francophone culture and an investigation of personal cultural frames of reference in the form of a project.
