Course aim

To familiarise students with architectural technical drawing standards and the role of drawings in the representation of three dimensional information.

Course content

Industry standards in technical and measured drawings; dimensioning, scheduling, cross-referencing, annotation and drawing format; the role of drawings in the design, documentation and construction process; integration of design intentions and construction principles in detailing; development of a simple building design into a comprehensive set of technical drawings.
