To develop specialised skills and understanding of television techniques and requirements in the context of professional practice in TV journalism.
Students will develop advanced skills in and understandings of research and sourcing techniques for TV news, and advanced skills in interviewing. They will become familiar with and put into practice advanced skills in packaging television news stories. They will also develop specialised understandings of presentation/ piece-to-camera/studio work, and become familiar with advanced concepts of TV news reporting and specialised ethical and legal considerations in television news.
