Course aim

To provide an introduction to the procedures and skills needed to start and manage a small business, including preparation of a business plan.

Course content

Small business and enterprise; entrepreneurship and small business owner-managers; preparation needed to operate a small business; skills and procedures needed to start a business; planning the small business - operational and strategic; completing a business plan for a new venture; marketing the small business; financial management of the small business - starting a business, financial information, operational planning and funding, costing and pricing.
