To deepen students’ personal understandings of the goals, purposes and methods of teaching science in the middle and senior years of schooling.
The students will develop deeper understanding of the nature of knowledge in and purpose of teaching science; impact of learning theories on the teaching of science; assessment in science; teaching methodologies appropriate for junior secondary science; using the laboratory in science teaching; curriculum documents, e.g. SACSA framework.
