Course aim

To enable students to develop competencies in teaching, and the disposition and skills to reflect on and debate personal/educational values and practices.

Course content

Skills of critical reflection and theorising about practice; interpersonal and communication skills; goal setting; unit and lesson planning and evaluation; maintaining positive learning relationships; effective classroom management; assessment; working with diversity and addressing the needs of Indigenous students and students with special needs; ethical decision making.
