To enable the student to undertake a piece of original research in an area of work health and safety.
The thesis should constitute a piece of original research, aiming to test a hypothesis, or to analyse a proposition or concept. This may entail collection of original information, or fresh examination of information collected previously for some other purpose. It should include a thorough literature review, an appropriate methodology, and display a critical approach to the topic. The implications for future research and/or WHS policy should be discussed. Assessment tasks comprise a literature review, a reflective research journal, research presentation and a research paper.
