Course aim

To develop the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of students in occupational health and safety (OH&S) management, and in OH&S and relevant employment relations legislation

Course content

OH&S and relevant employment relations legislation - content and interpretation. Legal relationships in OHS - employer/employee; principal/contractor; supplier/purchaser (etc); the enforcement pyramid and legal proceedings; OHS management systems - elements and their implementation; international and Australian quality standards and their nexus with OHS.
