The aim of this course is to extend knowledge in human movement and health sciences into the area of exercise and sports psychology in order to determine the social, psychological and environmental factors that influence exercise behaviour, sport participation and human performance.
Motivation; arousal, stress and anxiety; competition and cooperation; communication, reinforcement and feedback, reinforcement and intrinsic motivation; group and team dynamics; group cohesion; leadership; communication; children’s psychological development through sport; aggression in sport; character development and sportsmanship; physical activity and psychological well-being; exercise behaviour and adherence; sport and physical activity related addictive and unhealthy behaviour; burnout and overtraining; mental skills for peak performance.
