To allow students to develop an individual study program in negotiation with appropriate academic staff within educational computing. The unit is designed to enable students from diverse professional settings to undertake an individualised study program in an area of direct relevance to their work.
Students are required to select their own topic, and then to develop, in consultation with their supervisor, a detailed study proposal for the course. Topics may include a more detailed study of an issue raised in another course or a relevant issue not covered in the courses offered.
