To develop students’ knowledge of and ability to apply psychological principles to a range of fundamental workplace issues and to develop an understanding of the role of the psychologist in the work environment.
History of industrial/organisational psychology; organisational culture; motivation at work; leadership and supervision; work values and attitudes; personnel selection and assessment; occupational stress; the psychology of unemployment; counterproductive workplace behaviours; contemporary issues in organisational psychology.
