Course aim

To provide an appreciation for modern multimedia development techniques and practices in the context of a project team of typical size.

Course content

The project may be carried out by an individual or within a group, possibly in consultation with an industrial mentor. The group is supervised by a member of academic staff over two academic study periods. Each member of the group will keep a record detailing tasks allocated to them, tasks performed, time spent on various activities and interaction with other group members etc.; this record, which will be handed in with each phase of the project, may be requested by the supervisors at any meeting.

Assessment 1 - Updated Project Charter or Progress Report (weeks 3 and 4), Assessment 2 - Final Project Deliverables (weeks 11 and 12), Assessment 3 - Weekly Group Reports of activities of the group, typically including meeting agenda, minutes, outcomes, time sheets, tasks worked on by each member, and so on., Assessment 4 - Mini reports (5 x 2% Report relating to the content of workshops from Week 1, 4,7,8,10)
