Course aim

To familiarise the student with psychological models of health and the application of psychological principles and practices to the field of disability and rehabilitation.

Course content

Theoretical approaches to understanding and changing health behaviour; decision making in relation to health issues; assessment and clinical intervention methods; application of psychological knowledge to specific health problems; health promotion; current concepts in disability and rehabilitation; nature of disability; impact of disability; assessment and program design.
