Course aim

To be able to apply knowledge and practical skills in clinical microbiology in diagnostic and research laboratories.

Course content

Viruses that cause human disease and laboratory diagnosis of viral infections. Medical parasitology. Medical mycology. Antibiotic resistance: mechanisms, detection, control. Molecular techniques in clinical microbiology. Vaccines. Current issues in clinical microbiology.
