To demonstrate advanced knowledge of haematological disorders and diagnostic techniques and to critically analyse, interpret and communicate complex scientific information consistent with the level required for medical laboratory scientists operating in professional practice.
Anaemia, thalassaemia and haemoglobinopathies; leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloproliferative disorders, myelodysplastic syndromes, multiple myeloma and related disorders; malaria; point of care testing; paediatric and obstetric haematology; blood film morphology; cytochemistry; flow cytometry, cytogenetics and molecular techniques.
