For preservice teachers to further develop their pedagogical content knowledge for primary mathematics in the areas of measurement and geometry.
This course engages preservice teachers with mathematical knowledge and digital technologies for mathematics education with particular focus on measurement and geometry. Preservice teachers will examine current practices in mathematics intervention and explore methods of building conceptual development of mathematical content for primary students. Timely scaffolding for learners with special needs and enhanced learning experiences for advanced preservice teachers in mathematics will be explored.
