Similitude, dimensional analysis and model study; Boundary layer and surface resistance; Multidimensional and transient heat conduction; natural and forced convection; radiation; boiling and condensation.
Types, characteristics and selection of pumps, fans, compressors and turbines; Analysis of pump/pipe flow systems; Introduction to compressible flow.
