Course aim

To introduce students to a study of the physical world and to develop their knowledge and understanding of some of the basic laws and principles of physics and their practical applications, in preparation for the commencement of a course of study at tertiary level.

Course content

Scalars and vectors; force and motion; energy and momentum; rotational motion and gravity; solids and fluids; vibrations and waves; electricity and magnetism; geometric optics.
