To enable students to critically assess and apply contemporary brand management practices.
The following topics will be covered in the course : introduction to branding; brands in consumer minds; understanding brand equity; how brands compete; main brand management strategies (target marketing, segmentation, positioning & brand differentiation); brand salience; new brands; brand extension; re-branding; branding internationally; how to identify and use your brand assets; key brand performance metrics and the mental availability of the brand through consumer memory structures and the physical availability of the brand through market distribution channels.
