Course aim

To develop advanced skills and knowledge required for the close editing of a wide range of manuscripts and to prepare manuscripts for the appropriate method of publication.

Course content

Close editing of a wide range of texts; the changing theoretical and practical approach to graphic design and publication as a result of changes in technology; current issues in copyright; establish contact with the networks operating in the field, eg the Society of Editors, the Australian Society for Technical Communication, the Macquarie Style Council, to maintain future professional development.
