To introduce students to the elements of the theatrical event which inform staging practice.
Students are introduced to the integration of the performer with technical aspects of theatrical production including: stage, lighting and sound design. Students gain a working knowledge of occupational health, welfare and safety within a theatrical environment. Students apply skills in scenography and mise-en-scene to staging performance and installation. Students subsequently develop critical observation and reflection of performance processes.
