Course aim

To consolidate the students' technical knowledge and skills of modern quantity surveying practice and cost management services on construction projects including building services and engineering works.

Course content

Measurement & Cost management services on high-rise construction projects. Alternative project procurement routes including building and engineering services works. International cost planning techniques and value engineering. Whole of life costing techniques for sustainable development. Relationship contracting and Private Finance Initiatives. Information technology application for quantity surveying practice. Future role of quantity surveyors.
