Course aim

To extend the students’ knowledge of the scheduling and planning of building projects.

Course content

The planning and scheduling of simple construction operations using flow charts, network analysis, Critical Path Method, precedence diagrams, line of balance, PERT, resource optimisation, linear programming, simulation, decision theory and risk analysis. Computerised scheduling packages. Site organisation and site planning. Quality Assurance during construction.
