Course aim

The aim of the course is to combine the students' knowledge of building constrution and fire technology in critiquing large and complex buildings.

Course content

Building lifecycle and constructability . Cladding of multi-storey buildings, roof structures and coverings, intelligent buildings and  services. Causes of fire and smoke, material behaviour under fire, occupant behaviour, fire testing, fire stopping, passive protection measures, and introduction to active fire protection measures.
