At the end of this course students will be able to display appropriate knowledge in respect to building estimating and tendering principles and practice from a contractor's perspective.
Introduction to building estimating and tendering. Using unit rates to cost major building trades including individual areas: siteworks, concrete works, carpentry, brickwork, structural steel, roofing and finishing trades. Assessing project preliminaries/overheads/profit, competitive techniques, project procurement, tendering preparation, negotiations and post tender administration.
