To acquaint students with western scientific processes through the context of land management and to investigate the intersection of western and Aboriginal ontologies and economies relating to land; to encourage students to identify the range of factors which impact on their own health and to examine their health status as a group; to review and broaden student’s knowledge of the Arts curriculum in schools.
Bicultural environmental education centred on a biological survey jointly run by the SANPWS and the Pitjantjatjara Council. Investigation of past and present environmental, physical, mental and spiritual health focusing specifically on the connections between lifestyle and issues of well-being. Examination as to what constitutes a good Arts learning environment as well as providing practical experience in using the Arts.
