To provide students’ with the opportunity to undertake weekly school based teaching practice over the period of a semester; to review various theoretical frameworks for how children learn and to explore in depth a specific method for teaching/learning.
Weekly teaching practice in own community school. The emphasis of this teaching placement will be with the familiarisation of the local school and its structure. Students will be required to plan and deliver a series of lessons to small groups of students. The principles of the Learning Triangle method will be examined in a workshop context and then applied in a classroom setting.
