The course is designed to refine and extend the student’s competence in scholarly inquiry, critique and reflection, and aims to assist them develop the confidence and authority derived from understanding and applying the research process and to see themselves as contributors to the knowledge base of nursing.
Each student will: identify an independent research investigation, supervised by a suitably qualified member of staff; maintain progress of work in accordance with the stages and time lines agreed with the supervisor; and complete assessment tasks.
