Course aim

To develop understanding of the theory and practice of public relations.

Course content

Public relations definitions, history and models, including relations with journalism and other forms of mass communication such as advertising and marketing; the contemporary public relations industry - types of role, career opportunities, consultancy, public sector, corporate and not-for-profit organisations; internal communication management media relations and media management.
