To extend the engineering graduates skills in research methodology and to develop competency in the critical evaluation of research literature.
Research design, qualitative and quantitative research, sources of data. Data collection procedures, measurement strategies, questionnaire design, interviewing techniques, content analysis. Literature surveys; information data bases. Probability testing, inferential statistics. The use of computers. Evaluating and writing research reports. Development of a research project.
