To develop students' advanced understanding of reliable and valid measures of behaviour and psychological characteristics and the limitations of psychological assessment.
In this course students will develop an advanced understanding of the history of psychological assessment, normative assessment and will develop their knowledge of the interpretation of test scores (including reliability and validity) and the social and ethical issues associated with test administration, behavioural assessment, and the applications of assessment (including cross-cultural and special populations). Students will develop skills in the administration and interpretation of psychological tests.
