Course aim

To develop students' understanding of the role of Design and Technology within the school curriculum.

Course content

Use of curriculum frameworks (for example the SACSA Framework: Design and Technology); understanding of planning and programming (including design briefs and design folios); critical analysis of teaching methods; resources for teaching and learning, introduction to OHSW issues, sustainability and effective resource management.
