To introduce students to the technological world of children and recent research into the learning and teaching of Design and Technology curriculum by developing an awareness of the socio-cultural construction of Technology, and the use of skills in problem solving and working collaboratively.
Use of curriculum frameworks (for example the SACSA Framework: Design and Technology; Design and Technology for students in years R-7); sequential development of investigations; planning and programming; critical analysis of teaching methods; resources for teaching and learning of Design and Technology.
