To develop a conceptual understanding of sound in design and its applications in the context of performance, installations, broadcasting, entertainment and other media art forms.
Students will develop knowledge of sound as art; storage and digital manipulation and sound in technologies. They will explore narrative and sound; sound design in commercial venues and son et lumiere as well as sound design in theatre, film & broadcasting; live art, installations and electronic performance art. Students will work with audio equipment and will gain experience in delivering of a sound production to an audience.
