Course aim

To explore how contemporary counselling frameworks and approaches can be applied in rehabilitation practice settings.

Course content

Rehabilitation counselling theory; systems perspective; strengths perspective; grief and loss; cognitive behaviour therapy; health behaviour change models; rational-emotive therapy; feminist counselling and therapy; family counselling and therapy; evidence based practice.
