To enable accounting students to understand how accountants can improve the design and functioning of the accounting information system so that it adds value to the organisation. As primary end users, to participate in the design of accounting information systems and to understand their operation.
Business processes and AIS – revenue, expenditure, human resources/payroll, general ledger and reporting, e-business, data modelling, documentation, role of the accountant in systems development, AIS development strategies, computer fraud.
