This course aims to develop an in-depth knowledge of both individual and group counselling theory and practice. Interviewing and assessment skills and acquire knowledge and skills in the development of therapeutic relationships in nursing.
A range of individual counselling skills and strategies; group membership, leadership skills and knowledge of group dynamics; knowledge and analysis of functional and dysfunctional interpersonal interactions between individual and group members; the ability to critically analyse the nature of the therapeutic encounters.
