The aim of this course is to examine the requirements of the Building Code of Australia (BCA) Volume1, including Parts relevant to fire and life safety, health and amenity, structural adequacy and energy efficiency.
Detailed analysis and interpretation of the building code of Australia and the related Australian standards, case studies, referee hearings, planning appeals, enforcements, court proceedings and the role of unions. This course involves a research component.
