Course aim

The aim of the course is to introduce the principles and processes involved in statutory planning controls and instruments by which construction projects are developed in integrated and workable ways and placed in the urban fabric.

Course content

Regulations and representative plans concerned with statutory planning and environmental controls; requirements, principles and practice of local plan making; assessment of development projects against the policy base of the relevant local plans.
