12018 Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA)
Taught by world-class lecturers and researchers, this graduate diploma will help you prepare for a career in engineering management, or for further study.
You will study various aspects of managing the operations of an engineering organisation including quality management, research data analysis, principles of project management, engineering economic analysis, intelligent production systems, sustainable development and design practice, and people, and leadership and performance with elective courses in energy and society, robotics and automation, talent acquisition and development, strategic procurement and others.
This postgraduate degree is offered as part of a suite of three programs (graduate certificate, graduate diploma and master). Each qualification extends to the next, so you can easily transition to a master level qualification.
If, for any reason you cannot continue your study and you decide to exit this degree having completed the four courses in the first year of the program, you may be eligible to receive the Graduate Certificate in Engineering (Engineering Management). If you finish this qualification and want to do further study, you can continue your study in the Master of Engineering (Engineering Management).
On-campus teaching for this program is based at the Mawson Lakes campus. Only 20 minutes from the city centre with easy parking. The Mawson Lakes campus is also accessible by bus and train with the Mawson Lakes train station only a short walk.
The qualification comprises studies in quality management, project management, human resource management, leadership, intelligent production systems including the use of robotics and automation and energy management.
You will also study engineering management data analysis skills for research projects.
