Course aim

To provide opportunities to students to research, analyse, and draw conclusions on the use of digital technologies in business and their potential to disrupt different industries.

Course content

Exploring how digital technologies are being used in business today. The course will analyse how digital technologies have the potential to disrupt different industries including examples from Accenture research and how Accenture are using the digital technologies internally and with clients.

Digital transformation of business: Breaking through disruption

  • How digital innovation is transforming the way that business is conducted
  • Digital business transformation leading to growth and value
  • Future disruption: trends and opportunities
  • Distinguishing between the hype and real value that digital technologies can deliver to business
  • Industry examples and case studies

 

Technology fundamentals

  • Automation fundamentals: Personal Automation, Desktop Automation Tools, Robotic Process Automation, Intelligence Automation
  • Internet of Things fundamentals: Sensor, Circuits/Battery, Embedded Systems, Wireless Connectivity and Networking
  • Security fundamentals: Product Security, Data Security, Governance, Secure Ops, Cyber Intelligence
  • AR/VR fundamentals: Immersive learning with AR/VR, XR consumer Journey, Virtual Merchandising, AR Connected Worker
  • Machine Learning fundamentals: Machine Learning Tools, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing
