Course aim

To provide students with extensive and specialised practical expertise in applying their discipline knowledge and skills within a work-integrated learning environment, to compile the outcomes of that experience as a professional and transferable product, and critically reflect upon their experience.

Course content

Professional Project is a work integrated learning (WIL) capstone course offered to students in second year. Students work with an industry mentor from a private, public or not-for-profit organisation to apply their disciplinary knowledge and practical skills to a project that has real-world impact. Project work may be undertaken solely in-house working on-site in the Host organisation or conducted independently in an online environment in close liaison with an industry mentor.

Students will be guided through a deep reflection of their work-integrated learning experience in relation to their studies throughout the program. Students will apply advanced and specialised expertise to document and critically analyse the practical application of discipline-specific knowledge and skills in modern organisations  and consolidate their preparation for lifelong learning.
