Course aim

To extend students’ knowledge and understanding of texts for English, and provide the opportunity to extend their skills in specific aspects of the English curriculum and frameworks.

Course content

Students will advance their knowledge of the English curriculum by reviewing the needs and assessment of learners in secondary schools, particularly in the responses to and creation of texts (written, visual aural, ICT). The students will develop and assess learners' oral skills, writing in the various genres and forms (prose, poetry, drama, magazines) within the Australian curriculum framework.
