Course aim

To evaluate the design of advanced drug delivery systems and to critically analyse the influence of pharmaceutical regulatory affairs in industry, hospitals and community pharmacy.

Course content

Biopharmaceuticals including peptides, proteins (eg: insulin, erythropoietin, vaccine), gene delivery; lipidic systems; sterile preparations including parenterals, nasal and ophthalmic delivery, implants, brain delivery; advanced topics covering radiopharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical nanotechnology, biosimilars, sunscreens and veterinary pharmaceuticals and others; regulatory affairs in pharmaceutical industry, hospitals, and community pharmacy.
