Course aim

To provide a critical understanding of the management of convention, exhibition and business meetings within the context of the global contemporary tourism environment and to examine the physical planning and design requirements together with the marketing, planning, finance and resources required to provide a convention, exhibition or business meeting.

Course content

The global business environment; structure, organisation and stakeholders; marketing; web and social media; organisers perspective; venue perspective; economic, social and environmental impacts; human resources; finances; legal and risk management; destination infrastructure; technology; sustainability; trends and future challenges.
