Course aim

Appraise and apply theoretical paradigms of foot function and related proximal structures and demonstrate these safely in practice settings.

Course content

Pathology and pathomechanics of disorders of the foot and lower limb, including malalignments of structural and functional nature. Examination techniques.Sagittal plane disturbances. Affects of leg length discrepancies on gait and posture. Anatomy of and influence of and from proximal joints of the lower limb and back. Investigation and exploration of alternative paradigms of podiatric biomechanics.
