Course aim

This course aims to provide students with an understanding of the complexity in managing within international business and to familiarise students as managers and leaders with the range of strategies available to compete more effectively in today’s rapidly emerging global economy.

Course content

Core topics to be covered include:

  • Globalisation: history, theories and impact on international business; 
  • Assessing opportunities and risks in international business;
  • Assessing potentials for internationalisation of business;
  • Managing the internationalisation process;
  • Managing international business negotiations;
  • Managing strategy and structure;
  • Managing people and ethical issues in international business;
  • Managing international business finance.
