Course aim

The aim of the course is to build an understanding of Artificial Intelligence approaches, the need to use Artificial Intelligence, specific tools and techniques, their application in Manufacturing Engineering and other areas of Engineering and Applied Science.
Advances in computers and information technology made possible the development of new and extremely powerful methods that mimic processes occurring in nature. Artificial Intelligence studies and attempts to apply those methods to solve extremely complicated and large real-life size problems that cannot be solved by other means.
The course is designed to be practical. A significant number of examples illustrate the concepts presented.
