Course aim

To enable students to critically review research literature in education, and the methods used in educational research.

Course content

Students will adopt an inquiry approach to teaching practice and formulate research questions and hypotheses. The students will undertake bibliographical searches using the web to locate research resources, choosing a research method, research ethics, quantitative and qualitative methods, analysing data, writing and referencing for publication, trialling and reporting on research methods.
